I’m about a month late posting this! Oops! I’ve been super busy the past couple of months, but I wanted to share this as it’s my last rope sculpture of 2025! My hands (and brain) needed a break from wrapping after finishing 4 projects back-to-back this year!

This piece is part of a collection of small halloween themed jars/lidded baskets. I doodled up 8 different designs and this was the first creation- Wildhart’s Monster!

I know I say this with every project, but I did learn a lot on this one!

This was my first character AND jar/lidded sculpture. I added a rim around the head and a lip on the lid of the jar to keep it in place, but if I were to do it again, I would make the lid have the rim instead, so it would be inserted into the jar. I think that would make the design neater and the lid fit better.

This was also the closest stitching I’ve done yet and it completely transformed the piece! I like that it looks like it’s crocheted! I’m going to start doing all of my sculptures that way from now on!

My first time using video to show the sturdiness of my sculptures!

I started this project on August 5, 2025 and finished it on October 9, 2025. Though I will admit I procrastinated finishing this one for a while so it could’ve been finished sooner! The materials I used were clothesline, yarn and a tapestry needle.

The next project I’ll share on here will be the handwoven custom christmas stockings I made for my husband and I. 🙂

Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

Until next time!
